Papers consist of correspondence, legal records, and financial records. Letterpress copybooks (1878-1913) chiefly contain copies of Jervey's legal and business letters concerning land and estate transactions and litigation, debt collections, private claims against the federal government, criminal prosecutions, recommendations to several South Carolina governors about pardons, Jervey's professional ethics, and his land and business interests. There are also letters regarding Jervey family financial matters, family estates, Jervey's personal debts, and other matters. Correspondents include Henry St. Julien Ravenel, Theodore G. Barker, William A. Courtenay, Theodore D. Jervey, Sr., Theodore D. Jervey, Jr., A.T. Smythe, Washington (D.C.) attorney Frank A. Butts, and others. Legal records consist of a journal (1905-1915) containing entries concerning clients and cases, including cases of dispensary law violations, claims for Union army damages to Charleston area churches, and the legal affairs of the Daughters of Cornelius; notes (1906-1907) concerning estates and abstracts of title to land in Charleston (S.C.); and papers (1905-1914) pertaining to various cases including letters, transcripts of testimony, and other items. Financial records (1911-1913) include a cashbook and ledger pertaining to clients' accounts and Jervey's household and personal expenses.

Bee & Company, president of the Mason Harvester Company, and president of the Miners' and Merchants' Bank of Charleston.
